REPORT ON B. F. KEITH'S - BOSTON. (WEEK OF DECEMBER 15, 1913.) (Robert G. Larsen.) WENTWORTH, VESTA and TEDDY. 9 minutes in one. Street. This act is always good for a laugh in this house. Started the show off with a hurrah. MUSICAL GORDON HIGHLANDERS. 13 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Close in one. Olio. Three men and one woman in Highland costume. A good lively musical act with bagpipes, mandolins, trumpets, organ, chimes, and trombones. The feature of the act is the dancing of the three men. All are fine, strapping fellow, and very graceful steppers. Closed to a good hand with the Highland Fling in one. MUNROE HOPKINS, LOLA AXTELL & CO. 16 minutes. Open street in one. Close special set in 3. A travesty on the troubles of the traveller on trolley car and Pullman sleeper. The company includes a colored porter who carries a lighted lantern while performing his duties in the car at night. Got quite a number of laughs, and closed well. WALTER DELEON and "MUGGINS" DAVIES. 16 minutes in one. Olio drop. Young fellow and an extremely attractive girl in a quiet and dainty skit. Several catchy and original songs, interspersed with a little bright talk. Not much body to the skit, but both people are clever and put their stuff over in very good shape. Closed strong with the proposal song showing how love is made in various foreign countries. ROACH and MCCURDY. "The Prune Centre Cut Ups." 19 minutes in one. Special drop. The original "Hi Holler" and "Seth Dewsberry" of "Way Down East" in a rube act in one. Both men are very funny comedians, the man playing the old rube being exceptionally good. Have a lot of original comedy, with one old time song by the younger rube. A rattling good laughing turn that made the audience laugh every minute and closed to a good hand. VALESKA SURATT & CO IN "BLACK CREPE AND DIAMONDS." 23 minutes f.s. Special cyclorama and draperies. Miss Suratt has certainly not been stingy in mounting her act, and has surrounded herself with an excellent company. Scored strongly to-day, and most applauded feature of the turn being the dancing of Mr and Miss Higgins. The scenery and costumes are gorgeous. Opened up strong to-day, the week before Christmas, and I have no doubt Miss Suratt will draw us some money. FISHER & GREENE IN "THE PARTNERS." 20 minutes f.s. Special set. Open 3 minutes in one. Street. A comedy sketch along the lines of the Potash & Perlmutter stories that made both audiences to-day laugh long and heartily. PERCY WENRICH & DOLLY CONNOLLY. 20 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. Have some new and catchy songs, and held this spot in excellent shape, closing strong with "Hello, Wintertime." LES JARDYS. 7 minutes f.s. Palace. Three women and one man in a flashily dressed balancing act with a good routine of tricks! Made a satisfactory closing feature.
