B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Week of Dec. 29, 1913 Cleveland, Ohio JORDON GIRLS - - 3 women, Garden in 4. 15 minutes. A fast wire act that made a splendid opener and got over to big hand. (New York) JEAN LIBONITA - - Palace in 1. Man working straight in one with xylophone paraphernalia. Goes into ragtime and gets genuine applause from the start. Closes to very enthusiastic applause. A good act. (Washington) THE GRAY TRIO - - 2 women, 1 man. Open Palace in 1, change to C.D.F. in 4, close, Palace in 1. 15 minutes. Woman displays some good gowns. Sing pleasingly. Man is clever and has a good voice. The trio offer a lot of new songs and make the act strong. They went over nicely to good hands. J. C. NUGENT & CO - - Man and woman. 20 minutes. Open street in 1. Close C.D.F. in 4. A good clean playlet with a human touch to the dialogue. "The Half Wit", Mr. Nugent's vehicle gives him great opportunity to display his peculiar characterization of a "boob" without burlesquing the part. The woman is finished and clever. Rewarded by big applause at finish. (Indianapolis) EDDIE FOY & SEVEN LITTLE FOYS - - Special drop of Union R.R. Station in 2. 25 minutes. Foy as usual, gets the house immediately he made his appearance. Offers a lot of his old comedy, but it caught the house like a thunderstorm. Appearance of his children was the cause of a continuous ovation and they closed to a genuine riot. At opener, Foy and his family had six calls. Owing to anticipated interference of Humane Society, the children cut much of their stuff. The act was a furore notwithstanding. (Indianapolis) REISNER & GORES - - Man and woman. Special drop of country R.R. station in 2. 15 minutes. These clever people held the audience from start to finish in a scream, with their patter, song and dance. The man is really funny and has much good reliable material. The woman is a fine dancer and hard worker. Went over big (Cincinnati) HALE & PATERSON - - C.D.F. in 4. 15 minutes. Man and woman. They do a classy dancing act of the latest kind, including the various tangoes. Both dress the parts well and carry the act to a strong finish. (Cincinnati) MAREENA & DELTON BROTHERS - - - 3 men, C.D.F. in 4. 15 minutes. One of the best acts of its kind ever seen here. Some fine head balancing and acrobatic stunts. The comedy work of Mareena brought down the house. An exceptionally strong closer. (Open) A. R. Henriques
