B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, O. Week of Jan. 11th, 1914. John F. Royal. DARE BROTHERS 8 min. in Two. Palace. Unable to use their own drop because of fire-proofing. Two boys in an artistic, graceful and clever athletic routine. The act shows much training, and is so well done that it makes a big hit and proved a good opening. BALTIMORE DELMORE AND LIGHT 19 min. in One. Olio. Two men in piano and singing act. Man at the piano is a good musician, but he is too feminine. The act was passable and got by in good shape. The singer draws his songs out too long. Their closing was good. INDIANAPOLIS. "JUST HALF WAY" 23 min. F.S. Sk. Int. Man and woman in one of the cleverest sketches seen here this season. It has a charming atmosphere and is full of bright lines, together with human interest cleverly interwoven. It sparkled throughout and held the interest of the audience in such a way that it got a big closing. INDIANAPOLIS. HOWARD AND RATLIFF ASSISTED BY DOROTHY HAYDEN 17 min. in One. Special. Two men and a woman in a big scream. The comedy of Mr. Hayden with his "Drunk" is a riot. One of the biggest laughing acts of the season. Big closing. PITTSBURG. SAM BERNARD 32 min. F.S. in two scenes, on Special. Mr. Bernard is supported by two men and two women in an act called "Nonsensical Nonsense". The material used by Mr. Bernard has been cleverly taken from some of his productions, including the hit of his sketch which is the duel scene. The first scene is rather slow and a bit tame, although Mr. Bernard gets some good laughs. The real action comes in the second scene during the rehearsal for the play and the duel. There is a great deal of comedy in this act and the audience temporarily is in an uproar. The finish comes rather abruptly with a burlesque Sextet from Lucia". Mr. Bernard got a reception at his appearance, but his closing, while warm, was not as big as anticipated. NEW YORK. KIRK AND FOGARTY 20 min. in One. Olio. Man and woman in a very clever and original line of comedy. The woman does some singing, but is not very strong on voice. She makes up for this deficiency in her appearance, as she wears some beautiful gowns. Fogarty plays the role of a stage hand, and has some clever repartee with Miss Kirk from which he derives some big laughs. Our audience here took this act as one of the hits of the bill, and despite the fact that it followed so much comedy, it had them laughing all the way and closed very strong. INDIANAPOLIS. HERBERT GERMAINE TRIO 8 min. F.S. Comedy casting bar act. This is a lively and thrilling casting act, and their comedian continues the laughing contest and gets his share of the comedy. By this time the audience is almost laughed out. The act proved a great closing to the biggest comedy bill seen here this season. MEMPHIS. LOCAL MOTION PICTURES Exceptionally good. Picture of local fire one of the best of its kind seen on a film. CUTS "Confirmation Suit" from Kirk and Fogarty.
