REPORT ON B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON - MASSACHUSETTS. Week of January 26, 1914. (Robert G. Larsen) MLLE. MARTHA and SISTERS. 14 minutes f. s. Special set. Of course, Martha's work on the trapeze and webbing is the whole act. The two girls are excess baggage. Opened the show first-rate. LOCKETT and WALDRON. 9 minutes in one. Garden. A rattling good two-man dancing act. Went over big. DORIS WILSON and CO. 14 minutes f.s. Special set. Very short opening in one. "Through A Looking Glass." The novelty of the mirror illusion with the introduction of the three triplets is the principal part of the act. The songs do not amount to much. Went fairly well. JACK GARDNER. 16 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery. Songs, stories, and one recitation. Scored quite a hit. ALBERT PERRY and CO. 16 minutes f. s. Dark tapestry in C. D. F. "Reno and Return." A very good comedy sketch with a most original plot. Deals with a wife who has returned from Reno with her decree, preparatory to marrying a second time. The ex-husband makes things so comfy for wifie that the new hubby gets jealous, kicks, and is incidentally the means of affecting a reconciliation between husband and wife. Very well played by two men and a woman. Got many laughs and closed strong. HARRY KELLY and LEE HARRISON. 17 minutes in one. Special drop. "Small Town Chatter." Harrison works straight. Kelly in his familiar Deacon makeup. Use a drop showing a country town with postoffice, town hall, general store, etc. A black puppy is introduced by Kelly, which is good for some big laughs. Act consists principally of "Rube" talk with the exception of two comedy songs. A first-rate laughing act in one that went over big. IMHOFF CONN and COREENE. 29 minutes f.s. Special set. "Surgeon Louder, U. S. A." The biggest laughing hit we have played in some time. This skit, which Imhoff made a classic in burlesque, is apparently brand-new to Boston vaudeville devotees, and they screamed with laughter at the exploits of "Casey, the private." Closed to a strong hand. BIG CITY FOUR. 18 minutes in one. Street. Still singing "The Rosary" and "Last Night Was The End Of The World." but have some new numbers that went over strong. Held this hard spot in thoroughly satisfactory shape. HARRY DECOE. 8 minutes f. s. C. D. F. it is five years since De Coe last appeared in Boston. We featured him heavily in all our advertising, and scarcely a soul left the audience this afternoon until his act was over. As big a thriller as ever,
