B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, O. Week of Febr. 22nd, 1914. John F. Royal. JUGGLING MILLERS 9 min. F.S. Pal. Three clean cut young men in a fast club swinging act. They introduce a little chatter that goes well and have a good line of tricks. Proved a very good opening. this kind of an act was not the right opening act, however, because of their conflict with the Rigoletta Bros., who also do club swinging. Closed very strong. SIDNEY AND TOWNLEY 13 min. in One. Young boy and girl in singing and dancing act, They make changes, sing fair and dance well. Their routine is rather cleverly arranged, and their finishing dance brought them a good closing. WILLARD SIMMS AND COMPANY 27 min. Open F.S. Close in One. The same big laughing hit as on previous visits. ANDY RICE 18 min. in One. A dignified Hebrew comedian. It was a terrible mistake to book an act of this type to follow Simms. All Mr. Rice's talk, which is of a very slow tempo, following Simms' talk naturally hurt Rice. A lively singing and musical act in here would have been better. Rice tried very hard and some of his material went over, but the rest of it fell flat. After a long talk in which he describes his wedding, he sings a parody on the "Tango". His closing was very poor. RIGOLETTA BROTHERS 32 min. F.S. Special Sets. These boys went bigger than on their last visit. One of the hits of the bill. while they are a little bit slow, they are real showmen and have a very graceful manner of offering their act. Received scattering applause throughout the act, but at the finish, after their versatile routine, they received a big ovation. HENRY AND FRANCIS 19 min. in One. Man and woman in big laughing hit, Mr. Henry's comedy was greatly enjoyed by everybody and they went over very big. Strong closing. WILL ROGERS 15 min. in 1 1/2. Very big. HARRY TIGHE AND COMPANY 38 min. F.S. Special. Nine people in a musical comedy farce. Mr. Tighe's voice was very bad as a result of a throat in poor condition, because of the weather. Notwithstanding, Mr. Tighe and his associates got over very well everything considered. With the exception of the Rigoletta Brothers, Harry Tighe followed an hour and a half of talk, and this did'nt help him any. His act closed a big comedy bill. Nearly all of the musical numbers in the Tighe act suffered because of his voice, which ordinarily is a good one and gets over. LOCAL PICTURES Interesting. CUTS Willard Simms - thumbing of the nose. Modifying siping away of paste on shirt. Rigoletta Bros. Throwing of hat into gallery by usher.
