THE WASHINGTON SHOW - WEEK OF MARCH 2nd, 1914. THE TOM BOYS 8 min. F.S. Two girls in comedy knock-about acrobats who get some laughs and applause for their clever hard work. HAL & FRANCIS 16 min. in one. Special Drop. Song skit, "The Stock Farm". Young man and young girl, both have pleasing personalities, in chatter, song and dance. The talk quite funny and clever, the song fair, and the dance good. Rather a neat act, and it pleased. EMILY DARRELL & CHAS. CONWAY 22 min. Opens with bare stage, goes to one, with special plush curtain. "Behind the Scenes", a comedy and singing sketch. This act scored a hit, largely due to Miss Darrell's personality, originality, and comedy of the "nut" order. The singing doesn't amount to much, except to afford Miss Darrell to make changes. A quick change to black face is a feature of the act. MARSHALL P. WILDER 30 min. in one. Plush curtain. Mr. Wilder introduces his act with a ten minutes moving picture "The Greatest Thing in the World", in which he enacts the leading part. He then tells a line of stories, some new, in his characteristic way, and arouses considerable laughter and applause. MINNIE DUPREE & Co. 23 min. F.S. "The Man In Front" by Alfred Sutro. This exceptionally strong and clever act scored heavily. Miss Dupree takes full advantage of her splendid opportunities and is fairly well supported. INTERMISSION MARIE & MARY MCFARLAND 14 min. F.S. High class Opera Singers in solos and duets. Scored a big hit. A storm of applause after each selection. KATE ELINORE & Sam Williams 18 min. in one. Special Drop. "The Hunter and The Hunteress." The audience almost in continuous laughter during the act. Miss Elinore gets them from the start with her grotesque costume. The act a big laughing hit. NICK'S ROLLER SKATING GIRLS 10 min. F.S. Special Set. Fast moving and Spectacular, and the difficult stunts done gracefully. The Tango and Hesitation on Rollers features. Much applause and a good hand at finish. PATHE WEEKLY The pictures timely and interesting GENERAL REMARKS A good show with the comedy element predominating. Elinore & Williams, and Tom Boys, unable to appear before Tuesday matinee owing to the storm. The Monday show however, ran a good two hours and a-half, aside from the Dance and Organ features.
