B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON - MASSACHUSETTS Week of March 9th - 1914. (Robert G Larsen) CHARLES [THOMPSON?]. 9 minutes f. s. Palace. (Short close in one if necessary) A very neat and clean juggling act. Made an excellent opener. BESSIE and HARRIET REMPELL "When We Grow Up." 27 minutes. Open Special Drop in one 5 minutes. Close special set f. s. Rather a novel idea, first scene showing two girls and a boy at school. The second scene shows them ten years afterward, and the realization of their childhood dreams. Is a bit talky, but got quite a number of laughs and closed well. Would better if placed a little further down on the bill. THE CHIEFTAIN CAUPOLICAN 14 minutes in one. Garden drop. One of the best single man singers we have played in some time. Has a powerful voice and gets quite a little comedy out of his recitations. Scored heavily at both performances to-day. Could hold any spot on the bill with credit. PEDERSON BROTHERS. 9 minutes f. s. Garden. Still featuring the "Pederson Trick," and the same big hit as on previous visits. HINES and FOX. 20 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery. All of their songs are new to Boston. A tremendous hit at both performances. LORRISS CRONIN and HIS MERRY MEN 13 minutes f. s. Special set. Opens with five minutes of black art in dark stage, closing with juggling, trick stuff and a comedy boxing match between two midgets. A splendid novelty that went well in this position. SALLIE FISHER 13 minutes in one Special drapery. Sang three songs with change of costume for each. Has splendid voice, pleasing personality, and some handsome gowns. Notwithstanding that she followed two very strong singing turns, Miss Fisher went over big. JESSE L. LASKY'S "RED HEADS" 49 minutes f.s. Special set. Return engagement of this musical comedy. Evidently it was pleasantly remembered by the audience, for Carson received a reception upon his entrance. The audience all remained in to the finish, and the act went over very strong. The comedy hit of the show. CUTS: Hines and Fox - "I wish I was a boy again" song.
