R. S. Robbins. The Washington Show. Week of April 13, 1914. Chester Kingston Six Minutes. In One. Contortionist making splendid appearance in Chinese costume working natural and easy and doing feats novel and difficult -- getting good hands thru act and at finish. A great opening act and one worthy of a better position. Lightner & Jordan 15 Minutes. In One with Grand Piano. Two dainty girls with pretty gowns singing exclusive songs, clever and humorous, with zest and spirit. Going splendidly. Joe Keno & Rose Green 15 minutes, Full Stage, Closing in One. Lively dancing with acrobatics the forte of this team, tho they also attempt some comedy and singing. Both performers work hard, the efforts of Miss Green standing out, in a fast going act. Applause and laughs thru the act, good big hand at the finish. Chas. Olcott. 17 Minutes. In One. Grand Piano. A singing comedian who is also a good pianist. His travesty on Comic Opera, in which he sings and plays all the parts kept the audience in continuous laughter. Also his rendition of "the Old Apple Tree" a la Spanish, Chinese, Dutchman, etc., was a big hit. This act was the applause hit of the show. "Red Heads" 49 Minutes. Full Stage. Company Set. Justified their return engagement evidently not having deteriorated in any particular, scenically, ensemble or costumes. All numbers going big and the act causing as much talk as ever, tho dividing the honors with two other big stellar features. Intermission. Consul & Betty. 27 Minutes. Full Stage. This act the big riot of fun as before, Betty adding new material at each performance. Hordes of children are having a great time at each matinee laughing at her antics. Trixie Friganza 24 Minutes. In One and Two, Closing in One. Songs and Travesties. First to last the act a gale of glee. Her "Squaw Suffragette" particularly pleased and the burlesque on the modern dances made a riotous climax. A big hit. Robbie Gordone. Seven Minutes. Full Stage. Poses representing famous Statues. Hold interestingly the audience, each picture being applauded. A real artistic act. Pathe Weekly. Fairly good reel. General Remarks. One of the best shows ever seen here.
