BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY APRIL 13, 1914. ESTHER & LOWELL DREW, "At The Drug Store", 15 minutes in (2) Special set. Fair act and receive fairly good applause. JOHN T. MURRAY, "Lightest of Light Comedians", 10 minutes in (1) Good act of the "nut" variety. He provokes much laughter and receives fairly good applause. In slang vernacular his is surely the "nuttiest" offering ever here. MONKEY HIPPODROME, 14 minutes full stage special set. Good act, and altogether it seemed to interest the audience to a greater or less degree there was little in the way of applause. This town is not partial to animal acts no matter how meritorious they may be, and it seems like a positive waste of money to offer anything in the line of trained animals. The people never go out and talk about them, and they are absolutely valueless as business getters. [W.E.?] P[illegible signature} Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY APRIL 16, 1914. BEN BERNARD, Singing comedian, 10 minutes in (1) Passably fair; Did not seem to impress the audience to any great extent and there was practically little or no applause. HENRIETTA WILSON & CO., Sharpshooting act, 13 minutes full stage, special drop, man and women [woman]. Good act. Shows many new tricks together with the best of the old. Seemed to interest the audience and received fairly good applause. FRANKER WOOD & BUNEE WYDE, in "Good Night" 17 minutes in (2) special drop. Good act. Comedy is refreshingly new and gets many laughs. Although the audience seemed greatly pleased, the applause was not much in evidence and there was little demonstrations at the close. [W.E.?] P[illegible signature} Manager.
