REPORT COLUMBUS SHOW, WEEK MAY 4, 1914..W.W. Prosser. JESSIE KELLER & TOMMY WEIR: Young man and woman, who open with two or three singing and dancing numbers, in one, then go to Full Stage, when the young woman presents a conventional line of cycle work. Pleasing little act which did alright as an opener. One and Specials in 5, 11 minutes. (Rochester,) WEBB & BURNS: Two men. Italian Street Musicians. Songs, with mandolin and guitar selections and talk. This act caught on in excellent shape, holding attention, receiving applause, and finishing very strong. Street in 1, 16 min. (Open) F. TENNYSON NEELY: Presenting an illustrated lecture on "Mexico". This man is a good talker, makes a fine appearance, and possesses energy and personality plus. He shows a great number of Mexican views, some of which are quite grewsome, but all of them interesting. His act is of course, decidedly away from the usual vaudeville number, but it proved of genuine interest. He had them all on their feet for the finish, singing "My Country, 'Tis of Thee". Held attention throughout and finished very strong. He will make several talks at various local clubs, and we hope to put him over in good shape. Picture sheet in 3, 30 min. (Milwaukee) MARTINI & FRABINI: Young man and woman in a series of dances. They found it pretty hard to follow Neely, but did so successfully and finally caught on very well, finishing strong. Conservatory in 2, 6 minutes. (Indianapolis) LEIPZIG: "The Royal Conjurer". Very good card work and other magic. Went well throughout and finished strong. Had no trouble in holding attention. Olio in 1, 18 min. (Open) EDWARD ABELES & CO. In "He Tried To Be Nice". The same excellent artist as before. He was very capably assisted by Charlotte Lander. This is a thoroughly first class legitimate hit. Fancy in 3, 23 minutes. (New York City) ARMSTRONG & CLARK: Two men, one straight, other black-face. Songs, comedy and talk. They did well throughout, holding attention and finishing strong. Fancy in 3, open and close in 1 25 minutes. (Open) OLYMPIC TRIO: Three men presenting a series of parallel bar stunts. Very good act of its kind which is alright as a closer. Palace in 5, 7 minutes. (Indianapolis) MOTION PICTURE: O.K.
