R. S. Robbins WASHINGTON SHOW May 11, 1914 ERNIE & ERNIE 12 min. open in one, go to 2. One legged man, and a woman. Man jigs cleverly and does difficult athletics. Woman dances cleverly and gets by with a song and assists with the acrobatics. A feature of the act is a tango by the pair. They work snappily, mix comedy as they go along. Get laughs and quite a little applause. MONTY & "DOT" 12 min. in one. Man and woman. A fair working singing and dancing duo, with some doubtful comedy. The woman's cleverness and stylish clothes represent the value in the act. Goes fairly well. ERWIN & JANE CONNELLY in "SWEETHEARTS" 22 min. F.S. This well known classic is artistically presented and is going fairly well. WALTER S. DICKINSON 16 min. in one. Rube characterization and monologue. Keeps audience in hilarious good humor. Gets big hand at finish. ROLFE'S "BRIDESHOP" 40 min. F.S. Special set. A tabloid musical comedy and sartorial display on the order of the "Red Heads", but this time featuring lingerie and dyed wigs. Andrew Tombes the chief principal makes a hit with his dancing and comedy, and Miss Wentworth, leading support, sings and dances prettily, her numbers receiving liberal applause. The duel towards finish of act is a big laughing feature. The act is generously applauded throughout and closes to a big hand. INTERMISSION ALEXANDER KIDS 15 min. in 2. Two wonderfully trained children whose cuteness and dancing ability get them plenty of applause, and a storm of it when the third toddling kid dressed as Uncle Sam on his way to Mexico, navigates across the stage at finish. NELLIE V. NICHOLS 18 min. in one. Songs, character and comic, with good and big voice. All numbers score - her "Will Someone Name My Nationality" - still the most popular. Gets big hand at finish. LANE & O'DONNELL 10 min. F.S. 2 men. One dressed as clown. A comedy tumbling act with startling stunts. Exciting to finish. Laughs and big applause. HEARST-SELIG REVUE Interesting Pictures Cuts Monty & Dot - song "All He Does Is Follow Them Around" - Dialogue- "You are no chicken" - Ans. "No but I'm game". Song "What are you Going To Do To Me" - business of putting hat over back. Nellie V.
