BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY APRIL 12, 1914. HARRY & AGUSTA TURPIN: Singing, talking and dancing skit, 16 minutes (2) 2 Special drops. Lady and Man. Fairly good act, comedy getting a few laughs; Singing by lady is not so good as that by the man, who if far and away the better end of the team. HARRY WAIMAN: Violinist, 9 minutes (1) Good choice of selections, rendered in a pleasing and artistic manner, pleases immensely, and act is well received at all performances. THE FASHION SHOP. 24 minutes full stage, special set. 4 Ladies. 3 Men. Very good act, the skill of Hugo Jansen in draping the living models, combined with the great beauty of the act as regards scenic and lighting equipment is superb; While the girls are a hit in themselves has capitulated, so to speak, before this the greatest success in the Bijou's history. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY APRIL 15, 1915. VALENTINE & BELL: Bicycle act, 11 minutes full stage. Lady & Man. Good act, performing some difficult and hazardous feats in an extremely clever way. BARNEY O'MARA: Singing and talking comedian. 15 minutes (1) Nothing phenomenal as a singer, and his comedy stories are deplorably weak, and produce practically no laughter. THREE AMERICAN TRUMPETERS: Musical, 13 minutes (2) 2 Ladies and a Man. Fair act, rather weak as a musical feature; Their selections are all quite ancient, and all things considered, the act is far below the standard set by the big musical features we have played here.
