IV IV REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of JULY 5th - 1915. (R. G. Larsen) PATHE WEEKLY 15 minutes in one. Picture sheet. Quite the most uninteresting series of news pictures we have had in some time. CHARLES McGOODE COMPANY10 minutes f.s. Palace. Two women and two men in a series of hand balancing stunts with a little tumbling. A very good act of its kind. went big. SAM H. WHITE and LOU CLAYTON 11 minutes in one. Garden Drop. Two boys, working in evening dress with chocolate make-up, in eccentric dances. Filled this spot very acceptably. HARRY H. HOLMAN and CO. in "Adam Killjoy." 19 minutes f.s. Office interior. This is quite a good comedy sketch. Has some bright lines, and Mr Holman is excellent as the grouchy old man. Got a lot of laughs, and closed well. LILLIAN HERLEIN 16 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. has some beautiful gowns, and her songs are all original. Went very well. LEONA THURBER and HARRY MADISON 15 minutes in one. Street. The same act they have given us on previous visits, without a change of any kind. Goes as well as ever. MLLE. VADIE and HER DANCING GIRLS 20 minutes f.s. Special cyclorama. One of the prettiest ballet acts we have ever played. Mlle. Vadie has a charming personality, and every-one of the six girls is pretty. Schubert's "Moment Musical" was the best liked number in the act. A decided hit. JAMES HUSSEY and JACK BOYLE 17 minutes in one. Street. The comedy hit of the bill. Jimmy Hussey's Yiddisher songs went exceptionally big. "THE MEISTERSINGERS AT THE FLAG STATION" 26 minutes f.s. Special set. This is the newest production of The Meistersingers. Closing a ling show, they held the audience in to the finish, and the verdict of the patrons at both performances Monday was that this act is the best The Meistersingers have ever had. The scene shows a flag station in the White Mountains, with the rubes and traveling men hanging around the station, waiting the arrival of the train. There are ten musical numbers, the climax being the passage of the White Mountain Express. This is a very realistic railroad effect, showing a mogul engine and five long Pullman cars crossing the stage at a mile-a-minute clip. every number was applauded, and they closed strong. CUTS: Charels McGoode - business of woman kicking man behind. Harry H. Holman - "God" - "Hell" - "Damn" Thurber and Madison - "My Gawd" Hussey & Boyle - "My God" - "While the cannons they were booming, somebody stole my woman" - "saving girl for to-ngith" gag, and modification of lines about holding up breeches.
