H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW AUG. 2, 1915. HEARST SELIG PICTURES. Fair average of pictures. FLYING MAYOS. 6 min. Man and woman with a fair routine of single and double tricks on the flying rings and trapeze. Pleasing opener. SUE SMITH. 13 min. Sang four songs, three straight and one dialect, changing her costume for each number. Has a pleasing voice and well liked. RUSSELL & CALHOUN. 15 min. This is a new act in vaudeville called "Types of Stageland" and was written by Mr. Calhoun. It shows two stage people in two special scenes illustrating two sides of stage life to the audience. A novel sketch and well played. Received a liberal hand. FRANK MULLANE. 14 min. Young man who works in evening clothes, sings ballads in a very good voice and tells some excellent dialect stories. Was a good applause number and closed to a big hand. BANKOFF & "GIRLIE." 9 min. Man and woman in a very high-class dancing act including two double numbers and one single by the man who does some sensational legmania work. The dances are oddly constructed and well executed. Received a big hand. "SKEET" GALLAGHER & IRENE MARTIN. 15 min. This is a new singing, talking and dancing pair with a lot of bright talk which they handle with excellent results. Also use a couple of songs and some dancing. A light breezy number which brought plenty of laughs and a big hand at the finish. "THE MEISTERSINGERS." 24 min. This is the annual vaudeville tour of Boston's famous musical organization. They are presenting a new scenic spectacle called "The Flag Station." A new program has been provided with several solos, ensembles and the singing is up to their usual high standard. They were a big applause hit. RAYMOND & CAVERLEY. 27 min. Opening with some new talk on golf, they went only fairly well, but picked up later with some of their old material mixed with some new comedy talk and a couple of ballads. Scored solidly. A bit of burlesque "maxixe" took them off to a good hand. BURDELLA PATTERSON. 9 min. A pretty model in a series of very attractive poses, highly colored and very beautiful lantern slides being used for effects. Act was well liked in the closing spot. GENERAL REMARKS. This bill came up to all requirements for a warm weather vaudeville entertainment. Comedy and music feature and the entire bill reaches a high average. CUTS RAYMOND & CAVERLEY. Elimination of gag about "worms."
