H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW AUG.9,1915. HEARST SELIG PICTURES. 13 min. A fair average of pictures this week. HELEN LEACH WALLIN TRIO. 9 min. THree women in a very pretty teeth and wire act, two acting as bearers while the third performs stunts on the rope held in the teeth of her partners. The white suits and black background make a showy picture. Very good opener. SANTYL & NORTON. 16 min. Two boys with a piano in one of the best singing acts we have had this season. Their songs are good and well delivered and their comedy keeps the laughs going steadily. They scored a hit and gave the show a big lift in an early spot. MORAN & WEISER. 14 min. These two boys with their comedy boomerang hat-throwing furnished a big laughing hit. Their act is a clever exhibition of skill and the comedy stands out as a strong feature. They were an applause and laughing hit. AUGUSTA GLOSE. 15 min. The singer and comedienne registered her usual hit here. With the exception of one number, all of her material is new and she got excellent results with each number, closing ot a big hand of applause. "CRANBERRIES." 20 min. A very pretty and well written sketch by Everett Ruskay. employing two men and a girl. It is a comedy on high finance with some clever lines and bits of business which are handled to a nicety by the trio. It held close attention from start to finish and was warmly applauded. HUNTING & FRANCIS. 16 min. "A Love Lozenger." The same sketch they have been using for the past year or so and it did as well as usual, keeping the laughs going and getting a good hand at the finish. GENE HODGKINS & MLLE. DESTREES. 18 min. This is a new highly colored dancing act with a Futurist orchestra of six musician in fancy costumes supporting the principals who open with a piano and close with a series of novelty dances on a gaily colored stage. The music is of the popular rathskellar kind with a big flash at the finish. The act at-tracted attention through its novol construction and finished to a good hand. CHARLIE HOWARD & CO. 17 min. "A Happy Combination." With the exception of the opening, this is the same act Howard used last season with two other partners. It is a mixture of lively comedy, songs and dances and proved a great laughing and applause hit. CUMMIN & SEAHAM. 9 min. Two men in a comedy acrobatic act. Some good tumbling handled in a quiet way with no talk. Did very well in the closing position. GENERAI REMARKS. A very good show from start to finish. plenty of comedy well distributed, a dancing novelty and a neat sketch to balance it. Held the audience seated to the final curtain.
