REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of AUGUST 16th - 1915. (R. G. Larsen) HERAS and PRESTON 6 minutes f.s. Garden. Good tumbling act with a little comedy. Satisfactory opener. MILLER and MACK 10 minutes in one. Garden. Very neat dancing act. Went well. WILLARD SIMMS and CO in "Flinders" Furnished Flat." 23 minutes f.s. CDF Short close in one. O.P.Drapery. This is about the 'steenth time we have played this act, but it always goes over in good shape. GENE HODGKINS and MLLE DESTREES in "Le Cafe Futurist" 19 minutes f.s. Special Set. Short opening in one. Olio and Palace in two. Starts off a bit slow with the songs in one, but winds up to a whirlwind finish with the dancing. Carries and orchestra, and with the Futurist costumes and stage settings, makes a gorgeous stage pictures. A very good novelty. ETHEL MacDONOUGH 15 minutes in one. O.P.Drapery. Miss MacDonough got over very well indeed in this position. Her medley of oldtime songs brought her a strong closing hand. CLAUDE GOLDEN 17 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Same hit as one previous visits. STELLA MAYHEW and BILLIE TAYLOR 26 minutes in f.s. Music room. The best act they have yet given us, with quite a lot of comedy. A tremendous hit. George McKAY and OTTIE ARDINE 17 minutes. Open and close in one. Palace in f.s. This was a pretty hard spot for these people, but they managed to get away with it in very good shape. THE KRATONS 10 minutes f.s. Special Set. An acceptable closer. CUTS: McKay and Ardine - "My God" Willard Simms - thumbing nose
