BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY AUG. 23, 1915. ED. ESTUS: NOVELTY EQUILIBRIST, 10 MINUTES (1) SPECIAL DROP. Good act, displaying some clever feats performed in a very novel manner, and interested the audience to a much greater degree than is customary with acts of this kind. JIMMIE & BETTY MORGAN: VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL, 16 MINUTES (1) Bulk of the work falls to the man who is passably fair with the piano and violin. Lady sings two songs in a decidedly weak voice that can scarcely be heard a dozen rows back. Act was only mildly received. SIX AMERICAN DANCERS: 17 MINUTES (2) SPECIAL DROP. At the matinee and second evening performance act was well-received; at the first evening performance they did not fare so happily until the finale, when the ensemble dancing, which is well executed, receives plenty of applause. Costumes are very attractive and make a pleasing display. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY AUG. 26, 1915. MARTINI & MAXMILLIAN: BURLESQUE MAGIC, 15 MINUTES FULL STAGE. S.S. Good comedy act, the laughs being plentiful through the burlesque exposures of some seemingly difficult feats of legerdemain. LITTLE MISS JEAN: JUVENILE COMEDIENNE, 11 MINUTES (1) Good act, displaying very clever talents for one who is yet but a child. Audience was agreeably impressed by the offering. CLOWN SEAL: 13 MINUTES C.D.F. One of the best trained animal acts ever seen here, the intelligence displayed being truly remarkable, and the act is a sure success. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
