BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY SEPT. 2, 1915. MAX HOLDEN: SHADOWGRAPHIST, 9 MINUTES (2) Good act, but failed to make any great impression because our public has tired of these acts. There have been too many of them here in the past. SOPHYE & HARVEY EVERETT: SINGING AND TALKING SKIT, 14 MINUTES (1) Fair act, having some new and original material, but some of the lines are questionable, owing to the suggestiveness contained there-in. VAN & SCHENCK: VOCAL OFFERING, 14 MINUTES (1) Very good act, their various renditions being excellent, and productive of voluminous applause, making a most emphatic hit. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY SEPT. 9, 1915. HOAG & HARDY: SKETCH, 14 MINUTES (2) LADY & MAN. Weak act, having little or nothing to reccommend it. About the poorest sketch seen here in a long time past. Some of the 'gags' are old, so old that one wonders at their temerity in offering them. EUGENIA LeBLANC: SINGING COMEDIENNE, 11 MINUTES (1) Sings poorly, the attempts at comedy are wretchedly futile, and were it not for one fairly clever dance, the verdict would be 'the worst yet'. TOM E. MURPHY * CO. SINGING SKIT "FIXING FATHER", 15 MINUTES C.D.F. Good act, singing being good, and the comedy, what little there is of it, being of exactly the proper kind. Received tremendous applause and the act, at all performances, was a sure hit. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
