REPORT on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of SEPTEMBER 13, 1915. Charles Lovenberg, Manager. The bill this week is an exceptionally good one. It contains every element of vaudeville, with something in it to please every taste. Unfortunately, we started off with another hot wave, following the terrific one of last week, and the business today was not all that we hoped. However, I feel that the quality of the show will be talked of about town, and we will get some results. D'Amore & Douglas Two men in a hand balancing act of the regulation type--possibly a little better than some others. Went very well indeed. 7 Mins. F. S. Kolb & Harland Man and Woman in an act which opens with costumes of 1860 and some dances of that period. This part of the act is very good indeed. They then drift into some comedy which was not so good part of which was eliminated after today. 16 Mins. In Two. After cut the act takes 12 Mins. Harry Lester Mason Dutch Comedian with a good line of talk. Got plenty of laughs. 14 Mins. In One. Gautier's Toy Shop An act introducing ponies and dogs which is the most novel of its kind I have ever seen. Put on in a splendid manner. Got plenty of applause and quite a few laughs for the comedy introduced. 20 Mins. F. S. Mabel Berra, Soprano Miss Berra is a striking looking woman with a very fine voice and a good collection of songs. She made a hit. 12 Mins. In One. McWatters & Tyson In their new act which was thoroughly appreciated. One of the big hits of the show. 23 Mins. Opens F. S. Closes in One. Boston Symphonic Ensemble Nine men, members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, in a program of popular classics. Made the same big hit they did last year. 37 Mins. Regular program 28 Mins. 9 Mins. devoted to encores. Monroe & Mack Well known comedians re-united after seventeen years separation. It is very well put over. A very good comedy act. 15 Mins. In One. The 4 Le Grohs Splendid contortion work by the young man and girl. A little foot juggling by one of the men and the fourth Le Groh brings a tray with glasses and bottles. The 3 Le Grohs would be better billing. Good act 11 Mins. F. S. A 20th Century Courtship. A motion picture made of local scenes and local people. Very interesting, and is going to draw money. I recommend it to any house to whom Mr. Elliot applies to put it on. 17 Mins. In One.
