REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of SEPTEMBER 13 - 1915. (R. G. Larsen.) PATHE NEWS 6 minutes in one. Picture Sheet. Fairly interesting. HELENE and EMILION 10 minutes f.s. Garden. Rather showy aerial act, with women doing iron-jaw work and the understanding. Good opener. LAMBERT and FREDERICK 14 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Man and woman offering a series of songs and dances. Close with a song and society dance in Chinese costume. One of the best acts of the kind we have played in some time. Went very well. EDWINA BARRY and CO in "THE HOME BREAKER" 19 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Miss Barry is a Boston girl. Her sketch has not played here in some little time, and proved quite a hit. Got laughs all through, and closed to a good hand. JACK CORCORAN and TOM DINGLE 14 minutes in one. Street. Singing and talking act built around Dingle's dancing. Have some good gags, and went over very well. CRAIG CAMPBELL assisted by JOSEF MARTIN 21 minutes f.s. Music room. (Usually works in one) This man scored one of the biggest applause hits of the show. Has a fine personality, and a good programme. Josef Martin Introduces a piano solo that went very big. BILLY TOWER and MAYBELLE DARRELL 14 minutes in one. Garden. Miss Darrell is full of life, and Mr Tower is an excellent foil for her antics. Went very well. HARRY GIRARD and CO in "THE LUCK OF A TOTEM" 33 minutes f.s. Special scene. (Opens in one, 4 minutes) One of the best musical plays we have had in some time. Some great singing, a melodramatic story with a real plot, beautiful scenic effects, and an excellent company. Held the interest and closed strong. EVA TANGUAY 27 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. Miss Tanguay is doing one of the best acts she has ever given us. Her songs are all new, with the exception of "I Don't Care," and her gowns are as novel as ever. "Eva, You're All Right" went very big. She had to sing, "I Don't Care." Miss Tanguay is a much bigger his this season than she was the last time she played here, but could not beat the weather. JACK McLELLAN and MAY CARSON 12 minutes f.s. special Set. Roller skaters with a flashy scene and costumes. Have some good stunts, and made a very good closing feature.
