BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I. REPORT OF SHOW, MONDAY, OCT. 4, 1915. FRED GILLON, COMEDY JUGGLER; 10 MIN. (1). Performs the same line of work usually seen in such offerings. Nothing new or novel; comedy gets a few scattered laughs, and the act is a very mild success. GREEN & GREEN, BURLESQUE MAGIC AND DANCING; 12 MIN. (1). The attempts at comedy through the fake magic business, are very poor, and this part of the act is very tiresome. Some fairly clever dancing livens the act up to some extent, but taking it all in all, the entire affair is absolutely uninteresting. CALIFORNIA ORANGE PACKERS, 14 MIN. FULL STAGE, SPECIAL SET. A very appealing little novelty, quite the best seen here in a long time past. Entertaining and educational is a combination not often met with in theatrical offerings these days, and here is a welcome relief from many of the steriotyped and hackneyed forms of divertisement with which the stage of today is overburdened. [W. E. Parmenter?] Mgr. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I. REPORT OF SHOW, THURSDAY, OCT. 7, 1915. BILLY TRACY & NAT VINCENT, VOCAL OFFERINGS, 16 MIN. 2 MEN, (1). Good act, their songs being decidedly new and very well rendered, especially as to comedy. Audience was very favorably impressed, and manifested the fact by good applause. GYPSY COUNTESS VERONA, INSTRUMENTALISTE, 14 MIN. (1). A decided novelty, and one that was quickly recognized as something different. Her diversified program of selections rendered on the cymbaline places her offering distinctly in the class of the novel and unique. KANAZAWA JAPS, JUGGLING BALANCING AND ACROBATICS, 10 MIN. 3 MEN, FULL STAGE. The lofty perch balancing feats are extremely well done; the remainder of the act, including the familiar barrel juggling and acrobatic tricks are on a par with these specialties as seen in all other acts of this kind. The unfailing comedy contained in the juggling now, as always, produces plenty of laughter. [W. E. Parmenter?] Mgr.
