REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of OCTOBER 18th - 1915. (R. G. Larsen.) LOVE and WILBUR 8 minutes f.s. Special Set. Man and woman on the Roman rings. Good performers, but the woman tried to sing a ballad Monday afternoon that was the worst thing ever heard on this stage. They have it out for the rest of the week. EUNICE BURNHAM and CHARLES IRWIN 15 minutes in one. Man and woman with piano, songs and comedy talk. A good act and could go further down on the bill. In this hard spot they went over in fine shape. CHARLES MACK and CO in "A Friendly Call." 18 minutes f.s. Special Set. This is a new Irish comedy, with a little dancing and some music on the pipes. Got a lot of laughs and closed well. A good comedy act for this place on the bill. DOROTHY TOYE 12 minutes in one. Miss Toye scored quite a hit with her double voice specialty. Nevertheless, the fact that she has played Marcus Loew's St. James Theatre in Boston does not help us any. PAUL ARMSTRONG'S "WOMAN PROPOSES" 27 minutes f.s. Conservatory. Second appearance here of this act, with an entirely new cast with a single exception. The new leading man is not so manly as the original actor, while Miss Frederick lacks the personality that made Miss Allen one of the features of the piece. The other men also lack the appearance and "class" of the original players. The girls are all attractive and play their parts well. Good laughs. A hit. WATSON SISTERS 19 minutes in one. Garden Drop. One of the best sister acts we have ever played. Both girls have personality, good voices, and put over a programme of new songs in great shape. Got a reception, and closed very strong. MERCEDES and MLLE. STANTONE 26 minutes f.s. C D F. Causing almost as much talk as on his first visit, and going big. AL HERMANN 19 minutes in one. Olio Drop. This man is inclined to be a bit "blue" with some of his material, but he held this spot in great shape. Closed very big. THE BAGGESENS 12 minutes f.s. C D F. Comedy jugglers. One of the best laughing acts we have had for a closer in some time.
