BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I. REPORT OF SHOW, MONDAY, OCT. 25, 1915. HARRISON-WEST TRIO: COMEDY SINGING AND DANCING SKIT, MAN, BOY AND GIRL; 17 MIN. (1). Quite clever in dance, and most of their talk is decidedly funny, productive of much laughter. The boy of the trio is very talented for one of his years, and contributes largely to the success of the offering. RALPH SMALLEY: CELLIST, 10 MIN. (1). Good act, performing in a masterly way a varied program of selections on the cello. The most adept artist in his line who has been heard here. THE MIMIC FOUR: COMEDY SKIT, TWO LADIES, TWO MEN; 15 MIN. FULL STAGE, C.D.F. Good comedy offering, their talk keeping the laughs frequent throughout the turn. Sing well together, and the act meets with considerable success, which is surprising considering the fact that this is their second appearance in about two years, with the same act. Most of our patrons remember having seen them because there is not one single moment of anything new or different from what they had before. [W. E. Parmenter?] Mgr. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I. REPORT OF SHOW, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1915. LEONARD KANE: DANCER, 11 MIN. SPECIAL SETTING, (2). A very ordinary dancing act, which smacks of novelty through the utilization of the 'frame', in which the dancer appears garbed in costumes pleasing to the eye. WILL RAWLS AND ELLA VON KAUFMAN: COMEDY SKIT, 18 MIN. C.D.F. Excellent comedy offering the laughs being continuous from start to finish. If there be any objection to them it must be on the grounds of a return engagement within so short a time, with practically the same material. These things are so noticeable in terms of the proportions of this one, that many remember having seen the act and in many cases it does not tend to help business. MAGLIN, EDDY AND ROY: ACROBATIC COMEDY, 8 MINUTES FULL STAGE 3 MEN. Accomplish the usual routine of tricks, far from a startling or sensational nature, but their rough, boisterous, slap-stick comedy is quite amusing, and the laughs follow each other in rapid succession during the entire turn. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
