H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW DEC. 20, 1915 HEARST SELIG PICTURES. 11 min. Fair average of pictures. THE GLADIATORS. 10 min. Two men work in special setting, Roman arena. Very good routine of hand-to-hand feats. Showy act and made a good opener. LAMBERT & FREDRICHS. 16 min. Man and woman in songs and dances. Do single and double numbers. Nicely dressed. Fair Number 2 act. MORTON & MOORE. 25 min. Two men assisted by two women in a rough comedy act. Plenty of action, songs, acrobatic dancing and "nut" comedy. Kept the audience laughing from start to finish. Closed to a big hand. MARSHALL MONTGOMERY. 24 min. Ventriloquist. Now uses a woman in his act. Has a regular production, elaborately staged. Plays a piano number after which he eats a meal while holding a conversation with the dummy and the girl. Something new in the ventriloquial line and scored a hit. HOMER MILES & HELEN RAY. 21 min. Special act. New act called "AN Innocent Bystander." Company of six. A very odd and very good sketch, well written around an entirely new theme and well played. Held close attention from start to finish, made a good impression and finished to a strong hand. SUSAN TOMPKINS. 13 min. Violinist. Formerly soloist with Sousa's Band. An excellent musician who plays high grade music and makes an attractive appearance. Was very well liked. "THE BRIDE SHOP." 45 min. This is B.A. Rolfe's best tabloid musical comedy with scenery brightened up and all the costumes new, making a big flash. Andrew Tombes, principal comedian kept the laughs going from curtain to curtain. Principals show to splendid advantage, supported by a good looking chorus. Comedy and musical numbers scored. Act made a big hit. HAYDN, BORDEN & HAYDN. 16 min. Three boys in a "rathskeller act" called "Bits of Vaudeville." Comedy singing, dancing and instrumental music all handled at top speed and with good results. Lively finish and were rewarded with a liberal hand of applause. THALEROS CIRCUS. 9 min. Pony, dogs and monkeys in a routine of familiar tricks. Very good act for the children and did very well closing a late show. Big finish brought strong applause. GENERAL REMARKS. An excellent holiday week bill. Lots of comedy plenty of music and playing with snap all the way through. Held the audience through a long show. CUTS MARSHALL MONTGOMERY use of the word "God" ANDREW TOMBES "The Bride shop" Use of the word "God"
