REPORT on KEITH'S BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of JANUARY 3rd 1916 (R. G. Larsen.) SELIG-TRIBUNE NEWS PICTORIAL 16 minutes in one. Sheet. Very good series of news pictures, with Boston subjects predominating. MYRL and DELMAR "Over the Garden Gate." 8 minutes f.s. Special Set. Hand-balancing feats performed in midair and on a trellis-work in a bower of flowers. One of the very best acts of the kind. Could go in the middle of a show. JOHN O'MALLEY 13 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Irish tenor, singing ballads. Went well in this spot. CHARLES GRAPEWIN and ANNA CHANCE in "Poughkeepsie" 20 minutes f.s. C.D.F. It is several years since this team have been seen in Boston. They put the sketch over in good shape, with laughs all through and a good finish. LADY SEN MEI Chinese prima donna 15 minutes in one. Special drapery. Sings ragtime, grand opera, and in Chinese, as well as giving animal and bird imitations. Went big. MARSHALL MONTGOMERY 24 minutes in two. Special Drapery. Mr Montgomery has added a young lady to his act, and his new turn is out of the ordinary. The girl, Miss Edna Courtney, makes a charming appearance and is a good foil for Montgomery. A decided hit. HAYDN, BORDEN and HAYDN 16 minutes f.s. O P Drapery. This trio celebrated thei reappearance in Boston by putting over one of the hits of the show. FLORENCE ROBERTS and CO in "The Woman Intervenes." 27 minutes f.s. A good dramatic sketch of the eternal triangle type, well played. A comedy act in this spot would have been better for the show. FREDERICK V. BOWERS and HIS NEW SCENIC SONG REVUE 21 minutes f.s. Special Drops. Bowers new act requires seven scenes and twelve drops, all painted in the impressionistic manner after the style of this year's "Follies." He has added a quartette to the act, and with his singing, the dancing of the darky boy, and the new scenery, put over the applause hit of the show. MLLE. MARYON VADIE and BALLET 19 minutes f.s. Special set. Second appearance of this pretty dancing act. Closed the show in good shape.
