REPORT on KEITH'S, BOSTON SHOW week of FEB. 28, 1916. R. G. Larsen MARTIN'S FOUR ROSES 10 minutes fs. Palace. Short opening in one. Dancing act after style of the Berlin Madcaps, - in fact, it looks like part of the same act without the German name. Very much small time. ETHEL KIRK and BILLY FORGARTY 16 minutes in one. Garden. These people have quite a bit of new material, and it is too bad to waste them in this position. They did very well, considering the spot. DENMAN THOMPSON'S "OLD HOMESTEAD" DOUBLE QUARTETTE 21 minutes fs. Special set. Introduce a yachting effect that got a hand. The men dress as yachtsmen, and work in a clubhouse set. Went well. CARMINE FABRIZIO 13 minutes in one. Olio drop. Violinist. Went well. CARRIE DEMAR and CO in "Quick Action." 31 minutes fs. Office set. Close garden drop in one. This comedy of munition making is rather far-fetched, and of the rapid-fire order. Got as many laughs as expected. Miss DeMar in one, singing "I'm not satisfied," and "Lonesome Fluffy Ruffles," aroused enthusiasm. FRANK ORTH and WILLIAM J. DOOLEY in "The Fool Detective." 20 minutes in one. Special drop. This is a new team, with Orth playing straight to the Sheriff of "The Lawn Party." They have some original comic songs, a lot of comedy tumbling and dancing by Dooley, piano playing, and got a lot of laughs. A regular vaudeville act, full of ginger. One of the hits of the bill. JOSEPH E. BERNARD and CO in "Who Is She?" 18 minutes fs. Dark tapestry interior. An excellent comedy sketch with two people, well played and full of laughs. Went over in great shape. MIGNON 12 minutes in one. OP Drapery. A mimic who does not imitate Anna Held, Eddie Foy or Nazimova. Puts her numbers over in good shape. Closed strong. RIGOLETTO BROTHERS 30 minutes fs. Special sets. Doing Chinese magic, juggling, acrobatics and aerial work on the breakaway ladder. Too long drawn out to close, and could not use them to advantage anywhere else. COMMENT:- Long drawn out show, nine good acts, unsatisfactory.
