REPORT ON KEITH'S BOSTON SHOW WEEK OF APRIL 3rd - 1916. R. G. Larsen. PIELERT and SCOFIELD 13 minutes fs. C.D.F. Man and woman in a rather neat juggling and singing act. Acceptable opener. ERNIE and ERNIE 14 minutes in one. Olio Drop. A girl and a one-legged man in songs, dances, and high kicking, with a little tumbling. They do a good act, but it is a question if a vaudeville audience likes to see a cripple when they go to the theatre to be amused. SARAH PADDEN and CO in "The Little Shepherd of Bargain Row." 25 minutes fs. Special set. This is a long-drawn out and rather talky department store comedy sketch, written about Miss Padden's Irish character. By her personality, Miss Padden carries the piece, which has a number of good lines and got a lot of laughs. Her support is nothing to brag about. Went well in this spot, but five minutes might be lopped off to advantage. Is full of "My Gods" and "Oh Gods," which were cut after the matinee. BENSEE and BAIRD 19 minutes in one. Olio and street drops. A splendid comedy singing and dancing act, with original songs, done by a man and woman. They end up with a Scotch number that is a riot. One of the hits of the show. ELSIE PILCER and DUDLEY DOUGLAS 19 minutes fs. Special draperies. This is another act that made a big hit. Miss Pilcer's costumes are quite the most beautiful and costly creations imaginable. We advertised their imitation of Gaby Deslys and Harry Pilcer quite heavily, and it went over big. A lively singing and dancing act, full of speed, with lots of class. LEIPZIG 19 minutes in one. Olio Drop. This man is easily the master of his art. A hit. LILLIAN RUSSELL 22 minutes fs. Dark tapestry interior. Miss Russell drew two good houses to-day, and went over in excellent shape. She is singing one number used here last week, otherwise her program is composed of original songs, including "Come Down Ma Evening Star" and "When Chloe Sings a Song" from the old Weber & Fields' shows. ROBERT EMMET KEANE 17 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Doing about the same act, with a couple of new stories and a new recitation. Held this spot in great shape. DEWITT, BURNS and TORRANCE "The Awakening of the Toys." 13 minutes fs. Special set. Made an excellent opener. CUTS: Sarah Padden - My God, Oh, God, and I'll Be Damned.
