190 REPORT ON KEITH'S BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of JULY 24th - 1916 R. G. Larsen. ALBERTE ROGUET 7 minutes f.s. Palace. Man balances, using tables and chairs, with girl assistant. Does some great stunts, the feature being a high fall off three chairs and three tables, at the finish. Could close a show. Very good act. BERTIE HERRON and MILT ARNSMAN 14 minutes in one and two. Street, Special, and Olio Drops. Open in white face and close in blackface. The best thing in the act is Miss Herron's minstrel number. Went over first-rate, at night a hit. JAMES KELSO and BLAMCHE LEIGHTON 15 minutes f.s. CDF. Can close in one if necessary. We have three "kidding" acts on the bill this week, two if them, Kelso & Harry Rose, very much alike. Monday afternoon, following Rose, Kelso went over in good shape, but nowhere near as big as he did Monday night preceding Rose. Rose was a bigger hit Monday afternoon than he was Monday night, as one act was bound to take the edge off the other. We were unable to separate the acts owing to the layout of the show, and the fact that we have another "kidding" act, - Morton & Moore - further down on the bill. Kelso and Leighton, by the way, have played all the Marcus Loew theatres in town, but in spite of this, put over a big hit Monday night. HARRY ROSE 16 minutes in one. Street Drop. A good act and a novelty. He went over in good shape at both shows, closing strong with the melodrama Burlesque with sound effects. THE CRISPS 15 minutes f.s. Palace Set. Garden in two, and Street drop in one. Excellent singing and dancing act with two girls and one man. The girls alternate upon the stage, leaving the audience in doubt all the while as to whether or not one girl makes the marvelously quick changes. Closed strong with the toy soldier dance. HELEN WARE and CO "Justified" 18 minutes f.s. Dark interior. This is a powerful dramatic sketch with a surprise finish that brings the curtain down to a big laugh. Splendidly acted, and a big hit. BELLE STORY 12 minutes in one. C. O. Drapery. First appearance in nearly three years, and one of the hits of the show. MORTON and MOORE 24 minutes f.s. Palace Set. Short close in one. Olio drops. Doing about the same line of stuff, and going very well. LEON SISTERS 9 minutes f.s. Cut Garden. Four girls and one man in a flashy wire act after the style of the Alpine family. Have some good tricks, and make an imposing closing feature. CUTS: Heron & Arnsman - "Hell Gate" gag and expression "damn fool" The Crisps - line in song about "If father is as true to his country as he is to mother, etc." Kelso & Leighton - gag about "one man's outing is another mans inning." Morton & Moore - slapping girl's bare back and measuring her around the bust.
