96 FANTASY Your dust with hers at last shall blend Under the sod where wild roots creep, Nourishing life that death shall reap; Knowing the peace that knows no end, Sleep, brother, sleep. All men who live more lives than one Your agony and grief will know, Drain to the dregs your cup of woe And grudge you not oblivion, Sleep, brother, sleep. SPILLING THE ATOMS - continued from page 93 And now, another prediction made some time ago. I asked you to watch for a new type of fiction. It hasn't yet made itself known definitely, but at least one editor has recognized the truth of my prediction so far as to set out baited lines for it, and I am confident that he is going to get it. I am refering to Wonder Stories' new-idea story policy. They don't know just what it is they want, but they'll know it when they see it. They've gotten a few that are near the mark, and in their efforts to find the new fiction, they've made their magazine rather unique. I enjoy reading it, being interested in what authors will do if asked to do something new. It brings out secret pet ideas, and who knows when one of these ideas will be the big one? And now, I primarily want to know how you readers like my column with talks such as this? Fantasy Magazine is striving to give you something you can't get elsewhere. You can get gossip in Schwartz's column, you obviously don't want still more in mine. Is this what you want? Special Announcement A NEW "Northwest" Smith Story by C. L. Moore With An Illustration By Miss Moore And Other Special Features In Our Next Issue Dedicated To WEIRD TALES
