I did read a story or two, but that is all. I go on guard this afternoon at 4:00 so that ruins the afternoon. Betty Hutton is to be here this afternoon for a show, but I can't go as I'll be on guard at show time. I'd kinda like to go, but thats out. Didn't get any letters this morning although I did receive an old Richland Clarion. Also another Carbide lamp from the folks. Should be well equipped for lights now. It looks like it could rain, but I doubt very much if it does. It hasn't rained since we've been here. I suppose there is a first time. Rumors still say we will be home this fall. Darling, how I'd like to beleive that. Probably mean a trip on to the Pacific but at least I could see you for awhile. Anyway, they might not need us for a long time. Darling, it would be worth it just to see you again. We have another ball game tomorrow night in Marseille. Don't know who it is we are playing. I can't help laughing when you talk about those babies. I like them myself but probably not a room full of them at a time.
