It rained terribly hard from 1:00 to 4:00 in the morning. I went on guard at 4:00 this morning and it was still raining some. At least it will keep the dust down for awhile. My darned ankle is really aching. Haven't done anything for it. Guess I just need a nurse. You want the job? Darling, the news is beginning to sound so good that I can't help but think we will be together before too long. Keep your fingers crossed honey. No mail for anyone this morning. I feel lucky though so I'd better have some in the morning. Got the radio going and "Frankie Boy" is singing. Pretty nice to. Darling, all I can think about is the fact this war could end soon and I'd be with you for ever.
