Darling, darling, the news just came on and it sounds like the war is almost over. Honey, do you realize what that means? It isn't official, but it looks like its only a matter of time. Darling, if I just don't get stuck with occupation our life will soon begin anew. I can't express my feeling tonight darling. When I think that I may be home with you soon I go crazy happy. I love you so much Evelyn and I'm so darned happy it hurts. Honey, I'm so anxious to know how your folks took the news. Thats why I'm so anxious to get some mail. Seems like the service gets worse rather than better. Surely there will be some in the morning. You will probably hear me screaming if I don't get some mail.
