I decided to keep on writing to French Hall until I heard from you in Ill. cuz something might happen that you didn't go. Kinda hot again today, but a breeze is coming up now so it should help. Won't be long till winter's here and we will start griping about the cold. Filled my pen honey. Thats the reason for the change in shades. Golly honey, I owe all the kids letters but I keep putting off letter writing to anyone but the family and you. [paper missing] your picture down and dusted [paper missing] Really shines now. Darling, every time I look at your picture I wonder what I was doing the rest of my life. I must have been awfully blind. Ken and the family are getting along swell. Ken thinks he will make a first class nurses aid. Now what could that mean?
