Aug 30, 1945 My dearest Evelyn, Hiya honey! Here's that guy again and I must confess, he's been a little crazy tonight. Why, well I'll tell you. You see, i just now got back from a movie and we sat there about an hour in the rain. it was "Roughly Speaking" with Rosiland Russel and Jack Carson. It was swell even in the rain. It really poured most of the time. Now honey, do you see why I might be classed as a nut? Well darling, as you can see, I lasted the night out last night and no boogy man got me. Didn't even see a little spook. Wasn't much fun. Went to bed soon as I finished your letter and mailed it. The guys get
