I hope the Germans don't get any more wild ideas about attacking. I owe so darned many letters to the kids that I hardly know where to begin. About all the writing I've done so far is to the folks and not to often to them. I'll make a bargain with you Evelyn. If you are still and old maid by the time I get out out this mess and I have no strings attached, we'll get together and remedy the situation for both of us. That way if anyone asks us if we are married we can say no, but at least we will has a prospect. I think it would be a good deal for me, how about you? Better close now Evelyn before this turns into something I'd be afraid to send through the mail. I'd rather make bargains with girls by means other than through the mail. Bye for now. Love, Carroll (P.S. I have a new APO)
