May 14, 1944 Mothers Day 1900 Dearest Mom,- Received your letter 3 days ago, and decided to answer it today. Rather appropriate, don't you think? I've been thinking of you and Sally and Nan all day. Wondering what you were doing and where you went, and everything. It's been awfully hot today. So hot that it was hard to draw a deep breath. However, it's all cloudy now, and there are deep thunder rumblings in the distance. So maybe we'll get a little relief. Went to the show this afternoon and saw a swell picture. 'Twas
