JANUARY 11 1942. Nice winter day. 58 at S.S. Close of attendance contest. We Blues lost by 1 point. We and Signe drove north of Nora to Carl Brandt's for dinner. Played 8 games 500. I was high, 2900! At Weideman's in eve. 1943. Did rather small washing. Signe came at noon - She + Pauline cut out her suit. Sunny but very windy. Roads + driveway drifted. Made phone calls for CRC. then didn't have it. 1944. Wrote RC. Sewed some on red house dress I cut out 2 years ago! Put in 20 sunburst tucks. Drove to Middleton in P.M. Took money warrants to Mrs. Ulter, Mrs. Gray, Cruse, Kruse, Olson + I cut, pasted + shellacked about 40 new cilrary books. Mrs. Gray will be Chm. 20° 29° 1945 Rode in with Captains again to take Hilda her fountain pen, to take UNRRA exam. Hans' mother + I rode to Abingdon + made surgical dressings 2 1/4 hrs. Hans home all day, reaction from shots. We drove up to Fru Hanson's for last dansk lesson. Got groceries at big market on Wisc. 36° 43° 1946 Ironed. Went to bank, etc. Saw quite a lot of yard goods at Penney's again. Cut out 2 dresses + 4 sun suits, mostly from printed feed sacks.
