JANUARY 30 1942. Did some cleaning Took load to Happy Hour Club at L. Burmeister's. Won slam prize - a blue vase. 1943. Not enuf sleep, and gastric distress. Juanita cleaned - Hans took Amy to Madison about 11. I baked cookies, took nap. 1944. Awake then slept till 8:15. Dist Supt J. Pierce Newell, preached. Homer Ruth new S.S. Supt. 61 there. 7 in my class - Got my original poem scrapbook up to date. Rain in eve. 20° 40° 1945. Kathryn did most of the scrubbing for a large washing. Hung on over new lines outside - but sheets blew against red dirty " To first of 4 Public Relations R.C. mtgs. at chapter house. 1946. Somewhat rainy. We drove in for Chinese lesson. Dr. C. P. She not very popular. I begin to get a simmering of the 4 inflections. Went to UMRRA offices - to personnel people, but no openings except for ones experienced in mass feedings. Drove home - lost way twice! Nap, bake bread, cut more sun suits.
