FEBRUARY 2 1942. Took Hans to bus to go to Washington. Worked Monday for once, inc. 2 blankets. Heard "Spike" Evans over WHA at Farm and Home Week. Sig and I shopped in P.M. She got blue dress goods, and I a Gladstone bag for Hans. Mrs. Miller rode out with us. 1943 Bright sunshine all day. Ironed, mended, shopped at Cornwell's Wrote BR. Pauline worked on jacket of my suit. Card from Hans in Chicago. Chm. at Woman's Club Guest Night for 4H, Scouts, and G. R. Prof. Heizer showed colored Guatemala slides. Pauline directed folk games. Home at 12. 130 here. 1944 Finished my war bond campaign $1950 worth in all. Did washing. Mrs. Buss here to type in PM. Wrote Sig, Elsie Hans at Buckom annual [cig?] mtg - Sun shone some in P.M. Read in America's Role in Asia 1945. Hans got his second tetanus shot, came home at noon but did not feel so badly as with others. 1946. Still sleepy, so took nap after Hans left for work. Spent AM cleaning, also vacuumed Norberg's rug and floor. Worked on my rug. Hans and I shopped all over Alex- no suit to fit him but blue serge, so I got gray plaid at Sears in Arlington. Got 2 # butter from Marie Loring.
