FEBRUARY 3 1942. Did ironing. Took Kathryn in to get semester hours changes, then to Annen's. Cut out red tweed house dress. Took Sig in, then went to Guest Night for 4H etc. at Woman's Club. Announced program, magician, etc 1943. Ironed. Pauline finished shirt of my suit made from Han's sharkskin. I did a lot of mending. Hans phoned from Washington to sit tight. Talked with Hilda too. 1944 Awake 2-5. Up at 6 to get Frank's breakfast. He began working 4 hours daily at Morey's. I washed my hair, ironed, mended a lot. Mrs. Ed Shaffer up to look at rug Hans home at 6. 19 1945. Baked bread, patched Han's underwear. Hilda and Geo. Reed here in eve. She had finished knitting Hans' scarf- 1946 Stayed home and finished typing lists of members of Circle "C" for each member. Mrs. Norberg here for dinner. Had fresh choc. cake. We called on Dr. and Mrs. Hu in P.M. We drove to Kirkpatrick's for supper. Rev and Mrs. WW Norris also there. Showed slides in Comm. Meth. Church. Cracked 8 on hot old machine.
