FEBRUARY 5 1942. Went to rural handicraft exhibit in Home Ec. Bldg. Lunch and nap in Sig's room. Prof E T Peterson of Iowa City on life in Germany and panel discussion on Emotional Stability in war time. Kolb, chairman Took Mrs. Hozard home. 1943. Pauline working hard on my jacket. I seamed up a brown and print apron for her to take home to "zig-zag". Took 5 Bingo prizes and game to school party in eve. Won a pair of block glasses. Pauline directed games. Wayne and Doris here 8-9 1944. Got Frank off before 7. Took nap, read dansk, went to Middleton with Hans in AM and Modism in P.M. Finally got deed to St. John's Church. Getting colder. K. made checked blouse. 1945. Walked to Alex at 9- to bank, P. O, etc. Baked rhubarb pies. Went to Quarter-Masters at 1130 Conn Ave. with Hans - he got his uniforms, etc. Then we drove to Pentagon for his foot locker. Hilda here for supper. 32° 1946. Sleety. Did washing. To Rev. Clarke's in P.M. for Circle "C" Meeting. I reported 4 garments made, 20 hrs, sewing, 20 hrs. Red Cross in Jan, garments and blankets given for European relief. I talked about Liberia with "Glimpses" from Iowa 4H girl there, Bishop King's article on Status of Women, etc.
