FEBRUARY 10 1942. Took Frank to school after he shoveled snow. About 3". Washed - nothing hard, but was tired and took nap. Mended. Made honey cupcakes with hickory nuts. 1943. Ironed, mended, made grape jelly, went to see Dr. Allen and got bile salts to aid digestion. Made out Woman's Club reports as regards defense work. Wrote Hans. 1944. Cold and snowy and blowy. We slept late. Pauline worked on my blue blouse - I did some cleaning, took nap shopped at Cornwell. Agnes R. went to Pauline Schwenn's birthday party in my place. I drove to Mrs. Keyes' in eve and gave talk to Missionary Group - at Miss Day's request. 12 there. Nice mtg. 33° 63° 1945. 63° at 4:20 P.M! Cleaned out Hans' dresser drawer, baked honey pecan cookies, shampooed my hair, wrote 3 letters, cleaned up apt. K. got khaki blanket to finish filling Hans' foot-locker. 1946. We stayed home and wrote letters, then mailed 8 at airport at 5. Drizzly. Snowed all eve. We went to McIntyre's. The men beat 1st of 4 games in 500.
