4 airmail letters this week! FEBRUARY 12 Airmail letter from Gladys Baker. 1942. Beautiful hour frost, then sunny. Saw Signe after she had diphtheria tests shots. Got plays and discussion material at Univ. ext. library. Bought silver ann. gift for Riley's [illegible] basket. Airmail letter from Hilda. Study group at Lambrights, with Mrs. reviewing R. Baker's The Seed and The Sail. 1943. Rheumatic shoulders. Walked to mailbox with letter and Valentine for Hans, and for Mary L. and Riley's. Make 3 aprons to send to Pauline to "zig-zag." Letter from her. Heard Roosevelt in eve. 1944 Felt lack of sleep this week, but cleaned up house, baked bread. Had Feb. 4H mtg. here in eve. 14 for supper. chicken, b.p. biscuit, etc. Played anagrams afterward. Both project leaders here, Mrs. Buss and Mrs. [illegible]. 28° 53° 1945. Awake from 2:30 on. Then slept till 9:30 but felt miserable all day. Must quit dining out! Got Skott round robin I started Sept. 30. K and I sent it on - It had encircled globe in 4 1/2 mo. 1946. I went to Chinese class while Hans had his dental work finished. Had small photos taken for passports. Shopped- got goods- really! for night shirts for Hans and me. Did the washing- hung it outside at 3:30 and it got dry. Cut Hans' 2 night shirts. Nap. Finished book in eve - we studied Chinese.
