MARCH 16 1942. Hard rain in night. Washed dining room windows, put up new curtains. Cleaned up home. Got Miss Wooton to train 4H play, went to Home Ec. Club at Home Management House. Heard Miss Parsons asked to teach 20 hr Nutrition. Helped serve lunch to her Club. 1943. Froze over night. Too windy to wash. Wrote "Comments". Worked on rug. Napped an hr. to make up for lying awake in night. Started crocheting daily for buffet. 1944. Sloppy day. Zeiglers got 2 dressers, etc. Mrs. Rosein old k. cabinet + Frank + Hans took wash machine + dr lineoleum to Diederich. I scrubbed dr floor, cleaned out dresser, ironed some. 86° 1945. Washed hair, dried it quickly outside. Sat outside on sunny porch + read mail an hour or more. Got several letters + wrote several. Sat outside in eve. Too warm inside. 54° 1946 Mrs Bibby stopped for me at 7:15 and we ran ATC canteen till 12. Sewed 232. Awake from 4 AM on so took nap in P.M. made bread pudding, cleaned bathroom tiles. Wrote Helen. She wants me to visit her - after I had other plans made!
