MARCH 18 1942. Washed, did some ironing. To S.S. board meeting at Olson's in eve. Worked on pillowcase. 1943. Big ironing- 8 shirts, etc. tired me. Nicest day this week - I mad 2 RC calls. Took nap - Sewed on 8 buttons. Read in "Time of Peace", which Frank read this week. Marv + J. Miller played cards with Hans + Frank. 1944. Kathryn + Hans paced my kneehole desk, etc. into car. Hans + I to Mag. on bus, 12:30-5:15. Hans took dining table, 7 chairs, etc. to Community auction. K packed back of car full. Windy, chilly day. 70° 59° 1945 K + I walked to church and back. Saw an early magnolia tree in bloom and many forsythia. Hilda saw an early cherry blossom in Washington. Read "Neils Ebbeston" + Mitte Marie. 1946. Somewhat drizzly. Mrs. Tripp here an hr. in AM to look at furniture + discuss apts. I got magazines, etc. ready for Good Will Ind.- and he didn't come. Called Esso Station twice, finally went in with man to station + got battery fixed up. Baked bread + cookies. Broke my specs! in eve.
