MARCH 24 1942 Went to Guild and had candle lighting service 1943. Tried catching up loose ends - mending, hung new drapes, Hans phoned from Buckhorn in eve - will go to Des M. + Ames, etc. Janet there to get her demonstration organized. 1944. Fine + sunny. We drove out to N.E. Wash. + left car. Hans + I went to FEA about noon. Lunch at All States' Cafe. Typed all PM on application duplicates for FEA. Met Anne Gessner. Supper at Scholl's. To Fur Hanson's. 43° 74° 1945 Shopped at Sunshine Market. Baked whole wheat raisin bread. 61° 1946 Elsie + I drove to church - Baked a rhubarb pie, blueberry muffins, esc. oysters, fried chicken, frozen peas, veg . jello salad. Paul + Herbert Pownall + Kenneth Taylor here for dinner and till 5. I worked on memory book and we spent 1-1/2 hrs at McIntyre's in eve.
