1942. Ironed, pressed Frank's green suit, enameled bathroom window second coat, waxed 2 linoleums + south floor upstairs. Set out larkspur + verbenas. Very tired. 1943. Worked in garden, spaded, etc. Cleaned rug. Aired line full of woolens - sunny most of day. Transplanted 25 tomatoes. Found Easter card + letter from Hilda + note from Emma W. in car pocket which K put there 1944. Nice day. Home all day except Hans + I walked to garden + to get honeysuckle and roses, + see new development beyond Locharbor Gardens. 80º 1945. Terriic back ache, eased by infrared rays. Was in our 9 [illegible] presentation of "24 Hours a Day" - at Eastern Area again. To Dr. Latane in P.M. Waited more than hr. to get prescription. Came in eve to look at apt. 1946. Ironed, Pauline finished my nylon dress Packed trunk at Wittenberg's in late P.M., first taking Frank to meet Doris W. to go out and learn to run tractor! Went to Community Guild guest night in eve. Greta at organ. Jim Atkins with pictures of Arica + Europe. Back to Apt. 11:15
