Saving...
June 1 1942. Only 8 over night + for breakfast. Gave Amanda 6 2 qt. jars + flower plants. Jay Whitson + Wayne W. came for all day conference- Jim Villarejo at 2. 7 for supper. 6 for noon. Worked in garden all P.M. 1943. Really summer at last. Washed- first washday without high wind for a month. Rain in eve at 4H mtg. Several dropping out. To MIddleton in PM to check H tires + get pkg. off to Signe. 1944. Some headache till P.M. Went to Miss Lausden's bread demonstration. Hot, so sat in lawn chair + did cross stitch. Nice rain in eve. Finally found out our furniture is still in Madison! Steckelberg failed to give shipping directions. 60 77 1945. Ironed, put clean paper in part of cupboard, went to Alex. Sewed on my blue jacket. Went to my last "Current Books" class- I'll miss the last one. Baked cookies. 1946. Breakfast at Sylvan Lake Cabin after we got groceries. Beautiful place, 6250 ft. Drove thru red shale formations, sagebrush. To Buffalo, Wyo. by 3. To Bess Eder's, whom I hadn't seen since 1911. Saw Big Horn Mts. 4 miles away.
