HOT 1942. K began keeping my time-budget for a week! Canned 4 pt. beans, baked bread [illegible] marble honey cake, went to Middleton took nap Took K in to Home Management House for 18 days - then wrecked my radiator in sudden rain 1943. Packed Hans' suitcase, with jam + cookies and bobby pins for girls, cooked ham steak for breakfast. Took Hans to 8:40 train. Took molds to V. Varney. 47 at S.S. got raspberries at Hallock. Made jam + canned 4 pt.: Brandt's here in eve then Frank + I went to Davis'. 1944. Finished ironing. Left K to get her own lunch in her 1/2 hr. noon. Worked at Red Cross 10-1, then shopped, got a bond, looked for chest for K. Put up 33 Red Cross notices in Harbor Terrace all 3 girls here for supper. 1945. Did the ironing, baked bread and red raspberry shortcake. Walked to Campustown to mail [Assom?] book grandma Brown gave me, to Sig + airmail letter to Bess Clark. We sat on campus for band concert 1946 No such day this year for me, as we skipped it when we crossed the International Date Line.
