October 8 1942 Sunned Hans' overcoats, etc. Baked spice cake. Frank dropped his drawing, went back to Math 50 (no Univ. credit)- leaving him 7 hrs. credit. Read in Windeswept in eve till Mrs. Buss brought K with left hand bruised from bowling. 943. Sunned Hans' overcoats etc. Walked to Cornwell's for vinegar, etc. Took Homemaker's mtgs. schedules to Mrs. Schwenn. Canned 16 jars of various sizes of sandwich spread. Cleaned my bedroom closet. 60°-85° 1944 We walked to church. Began reading "Indigo". 40° 60° 1945. Sunny but rising wind. Thru washing by 10:30. We walked to Alex. by 1. Hans went again to Dr Delaney, I to Pub. Sp. Training Course, for listening to other speakers and their voice recordings. Walked back. Wore light jacket. 73° 1946. Hans apparently gaining. Went to dining room twice, + out in sun a few minutes. I did some washing, hung Mrs. Irey's up, too (really up- on roof). We + Miss Mossbek went to Hospital, waited an hr. on Dr. Henke. Exam favorable.
